A letter from Dr. Megan Stanton-Anderson, Principal, Alphonsus Academy & Center for the Arts:
Christmas 2009
Dear Friends,
What a wonderful evening to celebrate the joy of this Christmas season! I welcome you all to the Holiday Pops concert, a very special tradition that is a highlight of the season for so many. The beauty of angelic voices and majestic music will surely inspire in you as it does in me the true meaning of Christmas as we prepare for the birth of our Lord Jesus.
This evening has been so very carefully orchestrated for us tonight. You will be treated to many of our favorite songs of the season as well some special numbers presented by our youngest choir members, the Alphonsus Academy & Center for the Arts Children's Choir. After months of practice, all of our performers are ready to impress us with their depth of musical talent. We are thankful for all of the time and effort our singers of all ages have put into preparing for this magical evening. And of course, none of this would be possible without our magnificent Maestro, Mr. Scott Arkenberg! We are thrilled to once again witness your pre-eminent orchestral skills are you weave the human voice and instrumental music together to make the finest of blends.
Alphonsus Academy & Center for the Arts is so proud to sponsor this years event. As a school whose focus is on the arts, it is a wonderful fit for us to share our musical talents with our larger community. With Mr. Arkenberg as our music teacher, our Childen's Choir has become a dream come true for our school. We are so grateful for the gift of music that you bring to our students!
I hope this evening provides for you a chance to slow down, relax, and truly listen to the performance. It will no doubt lift your spirit and help you to reach the pure joy that floats through this Christmas season. I wish all of you a blessed evening and holiday season!
All the Best,
Dr. Megan Stanton-Anderson
